Q.
If I had an accident or damaged a motorcycle but I am fine to ride, can I have another motorcycle to continue the tour?
A.
No. If the motorcycle was critically damaged and not suitable to ride, the rental contract will be over. If your motorcycle had any trouble and it’s the matter of the motorcycle, we will provide a replacement.
Q.
Will the rental fee be refunded if I was to have an accident on the first day of tour?
A.
No, there will be no refund.
Q.
Is toll fee for highway included in the tour price?
A.
No. Toll fee will be collected on the last day at the shop when you returned the motorcycle.
Q.
Can I swap motorcycles with my friends?
A.
No, you cannot. Please always ride the motorcycle that is contracted to you.
Q.
Can I have a custom tour for my party?
A.
Yes, please feel free to ask us. We can arrange any tour depending on your requests.
Q.
What to do in the case of an accident?
A.
In case of accidents and troubles during the tour, we have a dedicated contact for language support so you can join our tours in total relax.
Q.
What is Non-Operation charge of the vehicle?
A.
When there is a collision, accident or/and topple down, the motorcycle needs to be repaired, and we cannot rent it while the repair lasts. To cover for some of the money we loose, we charge a non-operation fee of:
• 20,000 yen if you can bring the motorcycle back to the shop by yourself.
• 50,000 + tow truck charges, if you cannot bring the motorcycle to the shop by yourself.
※Even if the motorcycle was returned to the shop by the renter, if the damages were moderate or above, according to the company’s damage level evaluation criteria, there are cases where the 50,000 yen non-operation charge fee might apply.For more information, please take a look at our "Terms and Conditions" section.
Q.
What is not covered by insurance?
A.
In case of an accident you must pay the insurance deductible which varies depending on your motorcycle class (from 10,000yen to 100,000yen).
Next, you also must pay the damages in excess which means damages for which insurance payment or compensation is not granted, or damages in excess of such insurance payment or compensation as payable and finally Non-Usability of the vehicle.For more information, please take a look at our "Insurance" section.
Q. What is the condition of the motorcycles?
A.
Our customers safety is our top priority. Our motorcycles are purchased new from the dealers and follow a strict maintenance program. They are then replaced before 2 years or 20,000 km, whichever happens first.
Plus we have a network of about 110 all over the country that can give support, and the motorcycles all have emergency road assistance by the Japan Automobile Federation.
Q. When is the best season to ride in Japan?
A.
Depending on the area, you can ride all year long, but in general to ride in central Honshu we recommend from March to November, in Hokkaido the northernmost island is best to ride from May to October. In the South in Kyushu and the tropical Okinawa you can ride all year long.
Q. Is travel insurance included in the tour?
A.
No, please arrange travel insurance in your home country before arriving to Japan. We recommend to be insured for medical and hospitalization costs, just in case.
Q. Is the language barrier an issue?
A.
It is difficult to find English speakers, and more in the countryside, but all the road signs are in English too, plus the Japanese people are increbidly welcoming and hospitable. They will do all they can to help you.
Q. It is ok to tip?
A.
Tipping is not customary in Japan. If you try to tip, it will most probably be politely refused or it might lead to confusion, as it is not expected.
Q. Is safety an issue?
A.
With an extreme low crime rate, Japan is one of the safest countries in the world.
Q. How many km are usually done in a day?
A.
We usually ride between 200 and 300 km per day, because our tours are thoughtfully prepared to mix riding and culture. Have a blast on the road, through scenic landscapes, while discovering the unique culture and people of the country.
Q. What kind of accommodations do you provide?
A.
Our vast experience through the years allows us to provide the finest three and four star hotels, mixing western style with Japanese traditional Ryokans for a complete Japanese experience. Did you know the oldest hotel in the world is a Japanese Ryokan that was opened in 705 AD?
Q. Is there a van accompanying the tour?
A.
For groups we also offer support vans services. Van can carry your luggage and items you buy while traveling.
Q. Will my phone work in Japan?
A.
We recommend that you check with your local carrier as some phones work and some don’t. this website is also useful:

Q. May I leave My luggages and the baggages I am not bringing with me in tour at your store?
A.
Yes, you can leave the baggages you are not bringing with you in tour at our shop. However, since we are not taking any responsibility over their contents, please bring with you your PC, smartphone, jewelry and other important things.
Q. Is the vehicle equipped with bags?
A.
According to the vehicle's option, we provide vehicles with top case, pannier case and side bags. For more specific details, please take a look at your preferred vehicle's spec at the "option" section.
Q. Will there be other riders joining this tour?
A.
For self-guided tours, it's just you, the open road, and your sense of adventure, no other riders. If you sign up for a guided tour, you’ll be joining a group, usually with 6 to 12 riders, who could be from anywhere in the world. It’s a great way to make new friends and share the adventure!
Q. Which documents are required to legally drive in Japan?
A.
Required documents change according to licence issuing country. Please be aware that there are also several country which are not allowed to ride in Japan. For more information, please take a look at our "Licence" section.
Q. Will I be provided any information before tour departure?
A.
Before departure we will provide you tour route guide (the official guide to any location included in tour's route, tour ride book (an exshaustive list of Japanese riding rules and Japan's culture general information), tour map and recommended dining, activities and facilities' list to help you enjoy your self ride tour in total security.
