Finalize Your Plan

Decide your pick-up/drop-off dates, location, and motorcycle model.

Booking

Submit your request through the dedicated form on our website.

Payment in Advance

You will receive a quotation by email within a few days. If everything is correct, please complete the payment by credit card in one installment.

Preparation Before Departure

Before entering Japan, please install the LINE app and add MOTO TOURS JAPAN as a friend. Also, make sure to check the validity of your International Driving Permit, passport, and other required documents, and have them ready.

Start Your Rental

Please arrive at the shop before your scheduled departure time. (Each shop can keep your unnecessary luggage while you ride!)

Important Notes Before Booking

Let's check your license!

You need your domestic license, passport and International Driving Permit* or official Japanese translation. For more information, please click HERE.
*The International Driving Permit is the one based on the 1949 Geneva Convention on Road Traffic.

Is the driver over 18 years old?

The driver must be at least 18 years of age. *A passenger can be under 18 years of age, however for safety reasons, he/she should be tall and old enough to reach the footpegs and ride comfortably

Do you need help with routes or accommodation arrangements?

This package does not include route suggestions or attendant support (and these options cannot be added).
If you feel unsure or find it troublesome to ride on Japanese roads on your own, make travel plans, or arrange hotels, we recommend checking out our Self-Guided Tours or Guided Tours.　You may find the perfect style of travel for you!

Notifaction / Cancellation

Notes

Things you need to bring when riding a motorcycle: Helmet (you can rental it free too) and riding gear (some limited rental is available)
Clothing when riding a motorcycle: Safety clothing and equipment for riding a motorcycle – jacket, riding pants, boots (not sneakers), gloves
Rider conditions: The driver must be 18 years or older, along with a valid motorcycle licence in Japan. Also riders are required to be healthy enough to ride a motorcycle safely

Cancellation

Full payment is required within 2 weeks after you recieved the quotation.
In case of bookings within 2 weeks before the rental starts, the payment is required at the time of the booking.
The payment shall be done by credit card.
In case of cancellation of the booking, our cancel policy will apply.
A motorcycle change after your payment will comport a handling charge.

Can I ride a motorcycle in Japan?

It depends on your domestic license and which country your IDP issued. Please check HERE >>

Can I get recommended routes and/or accommodation arrangements if I pay additional fee?

Unfortunately, that is not available.

Can I choose any other motorcycle?

Unfortunately, that is not available. Please choose motorcycles on this page.
If you are interested in other types of motorcycles, we recommend "Rental819" , one of our group companies, which has more than 2,500 motorcycles available! Please understand that we are unable to assist with booking for Rental819.

What riding gear can I rent?

We offer helmet rentals, gloves, and jackets for free. Please note that sizes are limited to Japanese XL or XXL. Pants and shoes are not available for rent.

Is riding tandem allowed?

Yes, tandem riding is possible if the passenger’s height and age allow for safe riding. However, please note that, due to our contract terms, you cannot switch riders mid-tour.

Do you provide pick-up or drop-off services from stations or airports?

We’re sorry, but we do not offer pick-up or drop-off services.

What should I do if there is a vehicle trouble or accident?

During business hours (10 AM–6 PM), please contact MOTO TOURS JAPAN via LINE, email, or phone, and our staff will assist you. For urgent situations outside business hours, please call the insurance company listed in the documents provided at departure. (Multilingual support is available.)
